Наслов предавања: GEOMETRY OF GROMOV-HAUSDORFF CLASS

Апстракт: We discuss several recent results concerning the study of the proper class GH of all metric spaces considered up to isometry. We show how one can work with such a huge collection and give an example of possible results: we show that the standard Gromov-Hausdorff extended pseudometric is intrinsic, namely, for points on a finite distance, this distance equals the infimum of the lengths of all curves joining these points. In addition, we discuss some results on the geometry of metric segments in GH and the possibility of extending the shortest geodesics beyond their endpoints.
